Kansas raised Frank Sativa has teamed up with Hollywood Legend Asha Imuno to deliver their fresh, lively new single "Open Up", out on all platforms now.

Both artists have been making seriously impressive noise for the past couple years, and to witness their geniuses come together on a track feels like an extra special event. “Open Up”, the new collaborative record from Kansas’s very own Frank Sativa and local LA gem Asha Imuno, is out now on streaming platforms for your listening enjoyment.

“Open Up”, written and performed by Frank Sativa and Asha Imuno, is a bouncy, lighthearted, and infectious track. The production isn’t overly complicated, built upon soft, fluttering, Nintendo-esque piano keys, and coupled along with some laidback hiphop influenced drums. The record opens with an effervescent chorus sung by 20 year old Frank Sativa, with supporting vocals from Asha. Sativa’s phased vocal immediately snaps into the pocket of an undeniably attractive groove, as he sings “It came as no surprise that we broke the line between your space and mine”. Then Asha Imuno enters the chat, bringing a more sensual, grounding feel as he delivers his clever verse, rapping “Lately I been on your line steady pressing my luck / You just playing hard to get so I ain’t giving it up”. As far as subject matter, the lyrics of “Open Up” seem to detail an intense, possibly unexpected attraction the artist is feeling for someone, and his attempt to convince said person that they should take things up a notch. Sometimes the unexpected can lead to great things we would’ve never pictured for ourselves.
“Open Up” is what you get when you cross two extremely talented creatives who are both excelling in their crafts. Asha Imuno and Frank Sativa are a musical match made in the cosmos. Their styles and approaches being so cohesive and complimentary to one another, fingers and toes crossed we’ll see more partnerships between the two in the future.
